Free TiVo?
Dec. 16th, 2004 11:52 amHey, anybody in the Bay Area want a free 40 GB Series 2 recorder tomorrow? If so apparently all you have to do is show up at TiVo headquarters with your Comcast cable bill and a gift for The Family Giving Tree charity between 11 and 1 tomorrow:
TiVo freebie has lump of coal for Comcast
Free TiVo-for-Toys this Friday at TiVo HQ
Time: 11am-1pm
Date: December 17, 2004
Place: TiVo, 2160 Gold Street, Alviso, CA (Yahoo Maps)
Why: Reinforcing our position as a champion for consumers and to deliver on the broken promise from Comcast to deliver DVRs to Bay Area customers. Best of all, bringing holiday cheer to those in need through our alliance with The Family Giving Tree.
Hmm, very tempting indeed. Wonder if I can come up with something gifty and get over there on my lunch break...

I don't think it specifies, but you might want to check the TiVo homepage to double check that.
