Yay chores! Yay completed chores! The lawn has been mown, the dishes done, the fridge cleaned out and reorganized, the groceries purchased, the bathroom cleaned, and the family room straightened up. Tonight some vacuuming, the use of my new Toro weedwhacker [insert Tim Allen-type noise here] to beat some of the edges and hard to reach weeds into submission, and making up the futon as the spare bed and I think I'm pretty much done. Oh yeah, I also need to call Menara and just reconfirm our reservations. Not that I don't trust them, but...well, ok, I don't trust them. As a reminder I'll send out a quick email to everyone at the table all the details. But if you'd rather read it here, let's try to meet at Menara between 5:45 and 6 pm so we can be seated and hopefully have ordered by the time the dancing starts at 6:30. I'm already giddy, every major dancer in the area is going to be there performing for us, le sigh!

Aside from that Saturday is still a bit up in the air plan-wise, any ideas for places to take my fam that afternoon would be greatly appreciated. Sunday is booked to the gills, literally, with the trip to Monterey. I'm very excited, it's my first time visiting!

Ooh, and I got some of the security deposit back from my last apartment, go me!

Next week seems like rather a blur to me until my family reboards a plane Wednesday morning so if I'm not the easiest person to reach for the next few days I apologize in advance. But don't let that stop anyone from trying, honestly, I love to hear from you all and will get back to you just as soon as I possibly can. So please, don't let any chatter about being busy stop you from reaching out, and for gods' sake if it's important let me know, I'll make the time for you, ok?

Ok
[livejournal.com profile] tersa, I blame you for this.

Okay fine, taunt me because Mark has TCM and I don't. q:
If I had Friday evening free, would there be anything helpful I could do to prep your domicile?
(And you should learn the lesson of self-worth. Because you're neat.)

Saturday: Winchester Mystery House. Even if you just do the garden tour or something! It's touristy, and fun, and all that.

Good idea, but Tammy's done it twice so I'm not sure she'll be up for it again...and my neice is 6 which is not a great age for that. I need something geared towards kids. If we didn't have the reservations that night I'd consider the Bonfante Garden Park. Hmm, maybe Great America....

Oh that's right, the estrogen field trip. (:
I think I'll pass, mostly because I can't afford it but also to avoid a repeat of the 'Ever After' fiasco in which I was given an unpleasant beating for not properly enjoying the film. (:
