Got a second load of laundry done without half the drama as the first, go figure, though I'm making my way far too quickly through my quarter supply, must replenish soon. One more load for odd stuff (kitty pad, bathroom rug, etc.) and I'll consider myself all caught up. Hooray!

Dishes are now also done which is good because my sink is tiny and not really capable of handling more than a few small things in it at a time. I have been dreaming lately of a condo with a real person sized kitchen. Someday...someday.

Also got a good deal of my Xmas shopping done already, go me! I was beginning to feel a bit panicky about that so I did some serious online shopping and now it's all better. This year I mean to stick to my smaller budget and try to go with one gift per friend/family member, I may go as far as two, but that is absolutely it. I just don't have the space nor the money to do more this year. I apologize in advance.

And I've been giving it some thought, what I'd really like from folks this year in lieu of actual physical gifts would be a donation to one of the following charities in my name:

Oxfam
The Humane Society of the Silicon Valley
Planned Parenthood

If there's another organization that you feel would be a good one that I should include feel free to list it in comments. And please don't take this to mean I expect to receive something from everyone reading this, I just want to stop anyone from making purchases who might already be planning to. Again, no place to put stuff and I have just enough boxes to pack up everything I currently have, which works for me.

Y'know, if you ever feel like eschewing the quarters and fighting for the machines entirely, we're not that far away and have in-house laundry. :) It'd require hanging out with us for an evening (oh, the horror!), but doable. Especially during, say, gaming?

Hmm, if your machines would be available tonight I might just take you up on that, thanks!

I can't see why they wouldn't be; C-- and I tend to do our laundry only on our weekends (of which Friday night doesn't count for me :)

Bring it on over!

First it's no checks, be thoughtful, now it's checks to charities.

If I didn't love you so much.

To be fair first it was "no gift certificates, be thoughtful", then it moved on to no checks, and finally due to circumstances beyond my control I'm saying charities. I should really add the ASPCA to the list, I don't like the fact that they put down so many animals, but they do have investigators that save an awful lot too so that seems like a pretty worthy cause to me.

Just giving you a hard time. I give to our local humane society where we got [still no name] from. :)
