ebonlockThe one program I don't mind watching reruns of is certainly the Daily Show. And lord knows this week I've been home to watch enough of them.
Now I would like to share with you all a haiku tribute I came up with last night:
Sweet Ibuprofen,
You take away my fever
Ah, human again!
There is just nothing in this world like having your temp drop a good two degrees in about an hour and a half. After taking some Motrin I laid down and vegged and by the time I got up again I felt almost normal. Still weak and tired and achy, but not nearly as much as before, and the nausea all but vanished. This morning the right side of my throat feels normal, with just my left tonsil still swollen. I have vowed never to go without a bottle of Motrin in my home again.
So, of course, now that I'm feeling a little better I'm trying to figure out which dance practices I can get to between now and the 18th. I figure it might be best to play it smart and just wait to go back until Tuesday by which time, presumably, I should be over the whole bug. It may be a bit chickenshit of me, but I've had quite enough of being ill this year and I'd very much like to avoid prolonging this bug any further.
Did just hear back that the bra decoration workshop is indeed scheduled for tomorrow night so no gaming for me :( Still, it will give me a project to work on this weekend which is cool. Of course it also means driving down to SJ to get to P-'s studio for it. Here's hoping traffic isn't too crazy by that point.
