(no subject)

People often laugh at me when I say that the cats won't let me sleep on the weekends. But over the years I've come to know what happens when I oversleep, still there are some days when I can't drag myself up no matter how much I know I'll pay for it. This morning my body let me know that I'd promised it some rest this weekend and it intended to get it. So I kicked Lola out, shut the door at 7:30 and slept in until 10:30.

Of course when I got up there was vomit all over the floor. You see if Pye doesn't have fresh food he vomits, which is why I freshen his at least twice a day. If I'm late, well I'm cleaning the floor. Only today he didn't settle for just the carpet. Guess how I figured that out.

Yep, I glanced over at the window in the kitchen and there was a huge line of ants trailing down behind the kitty condo. With a sigh I shifted it and sure enough, all down the wall and onto the floor - kitty vomit. Suffice to say I started there and then just kept cleaning for the past 5 hours or so. But I did clean up the window area thoroughly and seal up the other side so hopefully this will end hte invasions for the year. Hopefully.

And on the plus side the house is clean, floors clean, litterboxes clean, laundry done, beds made, even the aquarium was cleaned. Even got a little gardening in...though I'm hoping to spend most of next weekend devoted to it. I've really got to get some mulch down and more herbs collected. For now, though, I'm kicking back and relaxing for the rest of the day...

Bill thinks child sexual abuse is A-Ok!

Is there a lower form of life on Earth than Bill Donohue of the Catholic League? If so I don't want to know it exists, I seriously don't. He's actually written an apologia for priests abusing kids. I shit you not:

Oh so it was just "rubbing", and hey the kid didn't report it for years so maybe he even liked it. And the best bit is that this guy is going to be considered a serious spokesperson and show up on every news show on tv just as he always has. Sometimes I just do not understand my country, I really don't.
