(no subject)

Sorry to vanish, this week has been...interesting. And busy, OMG busy. Last night was the somewhat scary drive up a mountain for the wedding rehearsal (almost everyone from Team moonlightnrain was in attendance and the Best Man made a long list of things to stuff into his tux pockets just in case). Bets were placed as to who among the wedding party would be the first to lose it and burst into a blubbering mess. We were put through our paces then drove back down the mountain (oddly not quite as scary as driving up it) for the rehearsal dinner. Much food and many margaritas were consumed, there was good conversation, many jokes and much geeking. I was also gifted with a neat pair of raven themed socks (which I'll be wearing with my tux) and a donation to the Peninsula Humane Society which makes me deeply happy, thank you again brides!

Today I slept in until a decadent 8:00 before attempting to put my house in some sort of order and watering all the plants so that they can survive another day. I'll deal with the remainder of the chores tomorrow. Informed tersa regarding our brunch plans which start in about an hour, we'll grab aelfsciene and along with B- will head over to Baji's for a hearty meal to fortify us through the ceremony. Then Aelf and I will dash back to get ready and head back up the mountain to climb into our tails and prep for pictures.

Then it's ceremony, cocktails, more good conversation, what will undoubtedly be amazing food, probably some dancing of some sort, a bouquet toss I expect (which I won't be required to participate in for the first time, yay!), possibly something garter-related, don't know yet, um, drinking, cake and then loading up my car with tuxes and probably a mildly tipsy Aelf.
