Jun. 1st, 2010 08:49 pmGod how I've miss The Daily Show and Colbert Report. I'm sure Stephen and Jon need a vacation from time to time but couldn't they take them at different times so we could at least have one or the other? Is that too much to ask?
I've needed some serious BP oil leak coverage that gave me the option of laughing rather than just burying my face in my hands and sobbing. I swear it's only a matter of time before the company turns to a giant wooden badger, it certainly wouldn't make less sense than many of their other plans.
Today I was listening to a business program on NPR debating whether it was likely that BP would survive as a company by the end of the spill. Not whether or not it should, just whether it was still wise to keep investing in the company's stock.
All I could say in response to the program was, "Fuck no they shouldn't still exist after this massive screw-up! God, why are you even asking that question? Since when does a company get to do this much damage to the goddamn world and still exist?"
Suffice to say the interviewer did not share my opinion :(
