Sep. 16th, 2008 09:08 pmOk a couple of quick things, first, and I can't believe I'm saying this, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not into House/Wilson slash. I know, I know, I can hardly believe it myself. Much as I adore the relationship between the two of them I can't help but think that sex wouldn't add anything terribly interesting to it. On the other hand it might just "fix" House and that would make him a bit less interesting to me.
On the other hand I could totally see him and Cameron having an on-again/off-again ridiculously hot sexual relationship that leaves them both increasingly fucked up. She wants him for all the wrong reasons, he wants her because, well duh, I mean she's gorgeous. He knows what he's doing is wrong but can't quite bring himself to care.
So I'm kind of rooting for a het relationship on a show I love. I feel a bit...dirty.
Anyway I stuck around for the beginning of Fringe and right now it's making me giggle for all the wrong reasons. I mean seriously, aside from Captain Hottie from The Wire being on here (and maybe, just maybe, if there is a god, going shirtless in some future episode) I couldn't be less impressed. One of the drawbacks that I'm seeing is that some of the speeches that they could've gotten away with on XFiles just sound goofy on this show. The other is that the blonde "FBI agent" is so absurd I could just weep. She runs around on cases with her locks long and flowing? Uh-huh. Scully could chew her up and spit her out without mussing her own practically trimmed and elegantly styled 'do. And can anybody explain to me what's up with the 3-D location text? Thought that the white typewriter text might be a bit too obvious so they went 3-D and silver instead? Whatever...
