May. 13th, 2008 10:33 amI've been a bit sporadic with posting these days, mostly due to the fact that I feel like I don't have a
lot to tell folks. I continue the job search and am at least finding some reasonably good postings so far
this week. Got the keys to my new place on Saturday and the manager was having the carpets steam cleaned
yesterday but said I could start bringing stuff over today, despite the fact that my lease doesn't officially
start until the 15th. Have I mentioned that she's very cool and I like her a lot? If not consider it done.
I'm going to run over there and drop off my trunk full of stuff this morning and make sure I know where I want everything for this weekend. Maybe I'll bring my tape measure along to just make sure it'll all fit. I also have a floorplan of the place so I can take notes on where I want everything. Yes I know I'm entirely Type A about this whole thing but those who have helped me move in the past know that this makes for a very smooth, easy and efficient moving day.
Aside from that I tend to schedule in a little cleaning on the current place every day so I can at least
tell myself that the post move clean up is going to be a breeze. I have a goal to keep it under an hour and I'm determined to make that goal. I really, really would like to get my entire security deposit back. I can definitely use it right now.
Once again I'd like to thank everyone who agreed to help out this weekend, you don't know what a load off my mind it is.
