Feb. 25th, 2008 09:42 amHad a lovely, peaceful weekend, including
aelfsciene's birthday tea where I got to see and talk to a lot of folks I do either with rather rarely these days. I also displayed borderline unnatural levels of self control and avoided scones (
tamago's scones at that!), so I guess this time I'm really serious about losing some weight. I did end up missing dance class, but the idea of combining lots of spinning and a sinus headache seemed...unwise.
Watched the latest Torchwood, "Adam" and it caused me to sigh a lot and wonder why the hell I was bothering with the damn series. Then Ianto had a couple of cute scenes and I said, "Oh right, that's why." Gods I'm easy. He's really the only thing that keeps me tuning in, though. The whole show just comes off as borderline readable fanfic, the kind I'd read if I were bored and none of my favorite writers were posting anything.
My Sunday plans ended up canceled after all so I ended up reading some very good SGA slash and watching "Velvet Goldmine". And if there is a better combination of activities to engage in I cannot think of them at the moment. That statement should probably depress the hell out of me, but strangely enough it doesn't.
( Oh speaking of SGA, some thoughts on The Kindred part one... )
