Ok you can just let me drown now.

Couple of things, first, heard from the manager of my current place yesterday and got some good news and bad news. The bad is that the guy who'd come to take away the old manager's plants had also grabbed mine and she didn't know where they currently were but was going to try to return them. So I may have lost all my plants. But the good news is that they're gutting all our apartments so I don't have to worry about paint touch ups or having the carpet professionally cleaned after all. Might've been nice to know before I freaked out about it, but whatever. So "broom clean" it is, I can do that.

Many thanks, again, to jimweasel for graciously allowing me to store some of my stuff in his place temporarily. This really saves me a ton of stress and worry and is exactly the kind of gift I wanted for the holidays this year.

My friend J- informs me that he has laid hands upon the Dungeons and Dragons boxed sets at work and do I want one. Unless someone pipes up here and says "NOOOOO!!! Don't get it!" I'm totally asking him to grab me one. I will have that boxed set, oh yes I will.

Also I have come to the conclusion that Gimp and Seashore and the other freeware image editing software I've tried for Mac are just not going to cut it. I need Photoshop, or something pretty damn close to it or I'm going to continue to be frustrated and annoyed every time I want to do something with an image. If anyone knows of any free/shareware packages I should look at that will offer me more flexibility with what I can do (doing fun things with text is a necessity) I'll happily take all suggestions. Otherwise I'll probably bite the bullet and go for PS.

Finally got to see one of the episodes of Avatar I'd missed this season "Serpent's Pass", which answered the question that had been puzzling me about Toph. I'd seen her clinging to Sokka's arm in a later episode and did a major "WTF?" But the scene when she falls in the ocean answered that question rather neatly and definitely backs up my suspicion about her crushing on Sokka...which is beyond cute. And Sokka, damn that boy is a chick magnet. Not that I blame them, he's definitely my second favorite character in the show. I like that he's surrounded by people with magical abilities but never seems to see himself as lesser than any of them. And how can you not be won over by a character who summarizes himself as "the meat and sarcasm guy"?

Anyway, I'm currently plotting out a mix for the show because that is apparently what I do these days. I'm also regretting having used the song "Burn" for a Callisto vid 'cause oh lord how it would work for Zuko.
