Aug. 2nd, 2006 09:01 amIt begins.
So after seeing the presentation on fan vidding at Lumos I've been semi-obsessed with making one or two of my own. Last night I invested a little time in procuring the freeware necessary to do just that on a Mac and ripped Prisoner of Azkaban. I'll attempt to get through at least Goblet as well tonight (carefully monitoring my harddrive space, of course). Now to find a song and theme that inspires me.
Also finally figured out how to put pics on my Nano, which was startlingly simple. However, I'm wondering if I can set up the equivalent of a wallpaper on it and I'm not seeing how to do that. I like having a slideshow of fun images to look at, but I'm hoping they will actually be useful for a bit more than that.
Work is actually quite calm at the moment, I feel like I'm in the eye of a hurricane. We're just twiddling our thumbs a bit waiting for the engineers to actually make the whole thing work so that we can dive in and write things like the help section. Or, I should say, so that I can dive in and write this. I've already written all the other page text and just left a few holes where actually playing with the site elements is necessary first. Fingers crossed everyone!
Oh and many belated thanks to
jakejr for my copy of V: for Vendetta, which I can't wait to break into this weekend. Yay special features!
