First I share a little Cedric love with [livejournal.com profile] tersa, enjoy my dear.

Second I would like to say that while I enjoyed last night's episode of Lost I really feel I would've liked it and understood it more had I been on either cocaine or crack. It jumped around from place to place and time to time like a highly caffeinated lemur. I was trying to do a blow-by-blow for [livejournal.com profile] ravenmb who was tragically without cable last night, and found it ridiculously hard to do. So interesting stuff, just don't expect to really follow all of it when you see it, and a hat-tip to the writers for unintentionally (?) creating a new slash relationship in that one.

Tonight is the start of "Nightstalker" with Stuart Townsend...mmm...Stuart. I used to watch the original series back in the day about a rather obnoxious reporter who always seemed to find himself dealing with the craziest supernatural shit imaginable. It's basically the paternal series to the XFiles and I'm hoping they don't screw it up in the update. At the very least I figure there's pretty man flesh to gaze upon. Anyway, tonight at 9 on ABC.

I may or may not be dancing tomorrow night at Straw Hat, depending upon whether the swelling on my left knee goes down. I woke up Wednesday night in the wee hours (thanks to Pye) and when I tried to get back to sleep knee pain kept me awake for hours. It's not usually a big deal, I mean it acts up every once in a while, and I know what's going on this time. See we danced every routine we know (and one twice) Tuesday night. So I abused the living hell out of it and now I'm paying the price. At least after icing it down last night it's a little better today, but bending it is not so fun just now. One more thing to talk to the doctor about I guess.

But I did get one more project done yesterday, go me! Just a few more to go and I'm done for Xmas this year, woo!

As usual Lance Mannion writes some brilliant stuff and one of the best metaphors regarding the Republican party I've ever read:

If the Goverment is a car setting out to give every one a ride to work, then for 40 years the Republicans have been puncturing the tires, pouring sand in the gas tank, stealing the distributer cap, and, whenever they can get their hands on the wheel, driving it straight into the nearest ditch and then, pointing to the wreckage as the tow truck backs up to it, saying, See, this proves that people were meant to walk.

And they do this so that they don't have to chip in on gas.

Go read the rest, it's well worth your time.
