May. 24th, 2005 08:27 amI find myself staring at pictures of David Thewlis today and losing track of time. For anyone who watches Stargate SG-1, think of the episode "The Light". He's not conventionally handsome, I recognize that, but oh how adorable. I may need to go see "Kingdom of Heaven" again this weekend...
Part of the reason I'm over budget this month was that I splurged and bought myself another laptop, a Dell Latitude, for the ridiculously low price of $200. How could I resist? I got it yesterday and discovered why the owner had been so keen to part with it, it was practically overrun by spyware and adware. Fortunately I've had a little experience with that and got most of it cleaned up last night. I need to tweak the registry a bit to get rid of a few pesky hangers-on and then that should do it. It's running Windows ME, which seems like a cross between 98 and XP so no big difficulties there. And it came with like 4 ethernet cards. Why? I've no clue, but should anyone need/want one or two just let me know.
Now if I can just figure out what's wrong with the Fujitsu's sound I can send it to my mom along with a wireless router and make her a very happy woman. I know what part of the problem is, the volume control won't open, I've no idea why and the few fixes I've found online don't seem to be helping. If anybody has any advice please let me know.
Oh and again, anybody wanting to join in on the Lost season finale chat comment me today or tomorrow and I'll add you to the list.
