I'm playing hookey today so I can actually get the shit done that I'd meant to yesterday but was too lazy to actually do. Well, ok I got some stuff done yesterday, including two loads of laundry, taking Aelf and myself out for a big brunch (we'd earned it) and then going to go see The Ring 2 with
silkblade. On the latter subject all I can say is, save your money. When you spend what is supposed to be one of the scariest parts of the film wondering, "Oooh, I'd love to find out if they hired a gymnast or contortionist to play Samara here", you know you're in trouble. Ah well, it did get us all to thinking that we need to do some horror movie theme days because Aelf missed out on all the flicks when she was growing up.
Saturday was a bit odd as we had most of the day to just hang around and do nothing before loading up the car and heading for Rakkasah. Gods that was a huge show, I mean I don't think I've ever seen so many dealers in my life. The shopping was downright dangerous, and I felt very good about leaving after only spending $120. It had to be done, a sweet bedleh set for $100? How was I supposed to pass that up? Just couldn't be done.
Our performance itself was superb, not that I'm biased or anything :) We just went out there and kicked ass with smiles on our faces, and I'm hoping to get to see the recording of it tomorrow at class.
ravenmb, you'll be pleased to hear that both Aelf and I wore My Little Pony tattoos in your honor. Aelf now considers them good luck charms so we may be wearing them to all the big shows from now on. You should be proud.
Right, I'm off to do a bit more cleaning, then I need to make a cover for my newly finished Starbuck mix, and then a bit of crafting and vegging to complete the day I believe. Later on I should have plenty of time for a nice relaxing Ostara ritual. Have a great day, everyone!
