First, something to make you smile:
Two Arrested for Hurling Pies at Columnist

TUCSON, Ariz. - Two men ran onstage and threw custard pies at conservative columnist Ann Coulter as she was giving a speech at the University of Arizona, hitting her in the shoulder, police said.

Dang, just the shoulder? Ah well, better luck next time I suppose. Hopefully some enterprising bloggers out there will start a fund to help out with any legal fees they might rack up. And for those who go to the story, does that photo of her not scream, "I'm too sexy for you liberal commie scum"?

KFOG is running a music mashup contest through next Wednesday and played this wacky combo of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Billie Jean" that worked disturbingly well. Then they played one of Bush singing "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" which was just disturbing. Funny, sure, but disturbing. And last night I heard this comedian's monologue done with a sort of electronica background which I think was called "Underwear on the Inside of the Pants", it was absolutely hysterical. Sometimes it really does pay to listen to the radio.

Class was fantastic last night even if I did screw up far too often. There is just nothing like dancing with people you adore and spending the entire time cracking up. I mean we were all giggling, then we'd get control of it, then pass one another during the choreography, make eye contact, and start all over again. I swear we've got to be the happiest, goofiest troupe in the Bay Area and I couldn't be more delighted.

Everyone's meeting over at my place before heading up to the show tomorrow night so I should really make some effort to tidy up between now and then. Don't know when precisely, but it really should be done.

Caught a bit of the last two hours of the Broadway special last night on PBS and decided it's been way too long since I've seen a show. I need to do something about that too.

And Kage has discovered that sleeping under the covers with the monkey is really nice when it's cold, but the monkey is prone to moving quite a bit during her sleep, so sleeping at the feet is much safer. Woke up at one point with Kage on my feet keeping them warm and Pye curled up at the base of my spine sound asleep. Peace is a beautiful thing.
