Alien devil kitties
Oct. 15th, 2004 08:54 amClass was good last night and most of us gave our new costumes a test run. There was a bit of difficulty when it comes to tucking veils with all that fabric getting in the way, but I think it's manageable. I mean I want to do well at the Witches Ball next weekend, but I'm not stressing over it like I was DDF. If I'm not "perfect" I can live with it. I know I can dance the routine and do it well and that's all I ask.
There was much joking and chatting, I've noticed that the closer we all get as a troupe the more classtime gets eaten up this way. Do I mind? Hell no, it's fun to have a new group of friends to talk and joke with. And we all are really jelling into a troupe to be reckoned with. Alyne can change configurations in the middle of a run through and we all just move like a flock of birds or a school of fish. It's a beautiful thing.
Got home and promptly passed out, but I think watching the special on "The Grudge" earlier in the evening may have influenced my dreams. There's this little ghost boy character who's been sort of melded with his cat, it's damn freaky. Anyway I had this long involved nightmare set in a weird abandoned sci-fi esque station (think Aliens) with a bizarre cat that was trying to kill me. Not intentionally, I just had to stay away from it because it had an alien inside it, and of course it kept following me around. Finally I managed to drag myself out of the dream around 5:30 and woke with a raging headache. Two Benadryl and a Motrin later I fed the cats and crawled back into bed. Got up around 7:30 and felt somewhat better but still groggy.
I've got to shake this off, I have way too much to do tonight.
