What is this sleep you speak of?
Aug. 18th, 2004 08:35 amFirstly, for those inclined, an absolutely wonderful Remus/Sirius fic as told by Lily Two Weaknesses by
musesfool. Sweet, romantic and dead-on characterizations. Go read, go read!
Secondly, it's a good thing I love Pye like the mildly brain-damaged, emotionally defective son I never had or he'd be a dead cat. I got to say hello to 4 a.m. this morning thanks to one of his crying jags in the window. After giving in to the inevitable and dragging myself up to feed him he decided he wanted to play. Loudly. In my bedroom. I reintroduced him to Mr. Spray Bottle and that cut playtime short.
By that point I'd developed a nasty leg cramp and my focus shifted from "Get some more sleep" to "Make the pain stop before you have to get up". So no more sleep for me, but I seem mostly conscious today so not too many complaints.
Class was good last night and I made it all the way through Hinko at least once before collapsing so that was cool. Still lots of work to do, but when I play the music in my head now I know most of what's supposed to be where, which I'm taking as a good sign. C- borrowed my organza veils to dance the last time through so I got to watch how they worked with someone else using them. I love the look, and being able to see the dancer through the veil during stuff like the paddle wheels and cyclone is a huge plus. It's going to look superb if we can nail it.
Tonight I make final adjustments/decisions about Friday night's apparel. I'm rethinking the choli I was going to wear. Color-wise it's perfect, but it's just so thin and flimsy that I'd be paranoid it was going to fall apart at any second while I wore it. And since I can't wear anything under it...Yeah. So I may just go with one of my regular dark green ones instead. If it looks ok anyway, we shall see.
