Can't get enough
Jun. 18th, 2004 08:34 amAiiiee! Two more packages with birthday gifts yesterday. More stuff to pack! But really cool stuff so I shouldn't bitch. My sis sent me even more goodies from London, including a really cool Bollywood cd, many of the songs I actually do know from watching Showbiz India entertainingly enough. It's even got the Punjab one that has the theme from Knight Rider worked into it. I am highly entertained.
She also sent two gorgeous Indian tops with some of the most delicate and gorgeous beadwork I've seen. I'm not sure what I'm going to wear them with yet, but I am sure I'll come up with something.
My friend J- sent me a copy of the novel his sister-in-law wrote which looks quite intriguing. I'll dig into that one as soon as I finish re-reading Goblet of Fire. He also sent Aelf and I the coolest set of LOTR sword letter openers ever. I just wish he could've been there to hear me "oooh!" over it and Aelf squeal with delight. I want to figure out a way to display them once I get all moved.
Speaking of which, I've had my first setback. Found a fabulous place for a good deal less than I currently pay in rent but despite the fact that the listing was posted yesterday it's already been snatched up. Am now feeling a bit panicky. Should I have started earlier? *groan* Right, I need to get serious about apartment hunting now. If anyone knows of a nice one bedroom around the MV area please let me know.
