For all the Hobbit fans out there:
"Oh you can search far and wide
You can drink the whole ground dry
But you'll never find a beer so brown
As the one we drink in our home town...
You can keep your fancy ales
You can drink them by the flagon
But the only brew for the brave and true
Comes from the Green Dragon!"
Sorry, have to spew a bit of ROTK related info at you all first, then we'll return to our regularly scheduled journal. First, a confirmed runtime on the ROTK extended edition. I liked the first answer better, four hours and fifty minutes would've been so sweet. *sigh*
And this is so wrong in so many ways...
Oh holy god, a transcript of ROTK with screencaps! Argh, but no Grey Havens pics yet. Gah! Though enough of the "wheel of fire" bit to make an animated icon...hmm...
Ahem. Right, in other news I thought this sounded kinda cool:
Core Fitness Studio in the Willow Glen area of San Jose is having
their Open House and Wellness Fair this Saturday Jan 10th 2004 all
day from 8:00am till 4:00pm. They are offering FREE classes in
Yoga, Pilates and Dance as well as lectures on Pre-natal Yoga,
guided meditation and other topics.
I'll be teaching the belly dance class at 2:00pm followed by a
performance. If you've ever wanted to try any of these great
physical activities or if you've resolved to have a healthier body
in 2004, come check it out.

If I weren't going to the Lacrosse game that night I'd be seriously tempted to attend myself. Speaking of which,
tersa, I told L- to meet us at our place no later than 5 and we'd go foraging for food together before the game. If you still want to come over to our place between hockey and lacrosse please do so!
Finally getting a chance to listen to Sarah's "Harem" cd which is just gorgeous. "Mysterious Days" is so far my favorite, but many more songs to go yet. I really hope she does that one in the concert.
Was naughty last night and started a new drawing project. It may fail so I'll leave it at that for the moment, but if it succeeds I shall be very pleased. It isn't often that I get inspired to draw these days and I'm really enjoying it. Also had to pull out X2 and watch the Kurt-kicks-serious-ass scene at the beginning like 3 times. I grew up with the XMen comics and with a wild crush on Nightcrawler so seeing him brought so spectacularly to life just makes me profoundly happy. I got to see the perfect actor cast to play my other hero, Frodo in the past few years as well, now if they do a live action DragonLance and cast Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Raistlin I can die a happy woman. As soon as I saw him as Steerpike in "Gormenghast" I knew he was the only actor to play Raist.
Can't wait to get home and see my snippet of Lij on the Daily Show from last night as well. I heard it was short, but damn does he look fantastic in the screencaps I've looked at. Yum. [/dirty old woman]
