Are you dancing or convulsing?
Jul. 31st, 2003 08:54 amWho hasn't been putting enough time and energy into her dancing lately? Who picked up her veils last night and flailed around like a rank amateur? Who had better get her shit together and actually start focusing again? I'll give you three guesses though I doubt you'll need them.
After about a half an hour of unproductive, somewhat embarassing attempted dance I gave up in disgust and decided to work with zills for a bit while I made a mix tape. Experimenting with rhythms is actually kind of fun and with nobody to hear me goof up I relaxed and enjoyed myself. Need to do that more often too.
But I did finish the sort of ultimate Natacha Atlas mix which I hope to give to Alyne tonight (she's liked everything I've played for her so far, and seems very intrigued by Natacha). This really reminds me, though, that I need to get a burner. Not just for random mixes, but to be able to edit, fade, and otherwise change music to suit my purposes and those of the troupe. Next bonus I think that goes up to the top of my agenda.
I've also spent some fruitless time trying to track down a copy of "Choli Ke Peeche" remixed by Bally Sagoo. Apparently it was only released as a single (with 4 remixes on it), and seems only to be available in the UK. I will set up a UK Amazon account if I must, but I'm hoping to avoid it (I just don't want my credit card numbers going out anywhere any more). I found the tune on Bally's site (www.ballysagoo.com) in the videos section, didn't see it available for sale there, though *sad sigh*
Oh, and attention

aelfsciene's way? Her mom is undergoing surgery today and I'm sure she'd appreciate it.
