Not quite sure how to wrap my mind around this:
Lord of the Rings: The Musical
I was dubious about Jeckyll and Hyde, though, so maybe I'm just getting too cynical and jaded in my old age. I will, of course, be first in line to buy the first cast recording. And I'll be very curious to see who gets cast. Hmm, Michael Crawford as Gandalf...

Ahem, anyway. Just found out that Satin Rouge will be available on home video soon. Currently it's available for rent or purchase by schools and libraries. Hmm, wonder if I had it shipped to work if they'd let me get away with it. Really wanted to see this one in the theaters when it was in limited release, but I'm awfully glad it's going to be on DVD. I shall be ordering a copy immediately and perhaps we could play it at our first hafla at Chez Femme...

Speaking of dance, Aelf and I managed to dance our choreography several times for Alyne last night with few hitches. She helpfully videotaped it for us so we could run it back, watch it, and figure out where we were going wrong. She praised Aelf's ability to stay on time and mine to synch up our moves so we both felt quite good. And the gaffes that seemed glaring to us, were barely noticed by her so we relaxed a bit. The final time through Alyne forgot to turn on the camera so we missed Aelf's blurted, "You little bitches!" at her veils, and me and Alyne completely losing our shit over it. Aelf solemnly promises not to exclaim that in front of a live audience.

We ended up watching some of the new series on TLC regarding urban legends and wondered (for not the first time) about the gullibility of the public. Sweaters for penguins...aie...

And after seeing Hildi's bathroom completely covered in little fabric flowers design, I have decided we must have a Trading Spaces party at some point. , could you TiVo a few of your personal faves and dump 'em to tape? I'll be happy to make food-type stuff to share. The show has become my one real-life program obsession of late.

Hmm, beginning to have Hobbit-withdrawal, may be time for another LOTR viewing.

Oh and if anyone is going to be doing any baking with eggs in the not too distant future and could save me the broken shells I'd very much appreciate it! Supposedly they're very good at slicing up soft slug bodies when scattered in a garden. Must protect the strawberries!

Two more things and I'll shut up, one, we're performing this Saturday sometimes between 4 and 9 pm at the MECDA hafla. I'll post specific details tomorrow, but I do know it's in Palo Alto and is usually a pretty fun, relaxed little event. Also we'll be going to Straw Hat Friday evening for another dance show (we're not dancing, thankfully) so if anyone wants to join us for pizza or cheesey bread lemme know.

Two, I'd like to see X2 again this Sunday. I'm thinking a 1:30-ish showing if I can find one. Will post these details as soon as they become available.

Ok, so I'm plunging in and picking up a ticket for myself for the following showing:
Friday, June 6 at 8:00 PM
Richard O'Brien's "The Rocky Horror Show"

Let's do the Time Warp again! A pair of young lovers finds themselves in perverse peril at the hands of a rockin' band of sexy extraterrestrials. The original stage version ignites the same spark as the cult 70's film. Don't dream it, be it!
U.S.$15.00-U.S.$25.00

The tix are general admission so it doesn't matter when you get them if you want to come with just lemme know and we can plan to meet up before the show.
