For those with an overwhelming urge to see pictures of me, my pals, and my cat I'll be dumping them in here from now on. Got the penthouse ones in along with a few party shots (too busy cooking and chatting to take many I'm afraid), so it's worth taking a look.

Experimented with new yarn yesterday, despite my better judgement, as I got enamored with a color. I think I'll go back to the Light & Lofty, it's cheaper, easier to work with, and makes the most heavenly afghans. Only problem is it can be a bitch and a half to track down. Ah well, at least I've got a place to order from online, and they even have all the colors, hooray!

Saturday was "Shop 'til you Drop" day up in Chinatown with the housemate. We hit all the places on Grant that we wanted to and I lured her to my favorite DVD place where she found some cool goodies for a reasonable price. We ended up lugging far mroe than we should've, but between that and the quick trip to Pier 1 we're both almost done with our shopping. Then we stopped and grabbed a pizza at this "New York" pizza joint on Stevens Creek. It was pretty good, though I was a bit ambivalent about the sauce. I think while I'm actually back home this holiday I may have to eat pizza quite often to remind myself what real NY pizza is. Reasonably priced and good service, though, which is cool. Also got some wrapping done, I'm hoping to get stuff wrapped, boxed up and shipped by Thanksgiving weekend. Yes, I know, I'm nuts, but it'll lift a huge weight from my shoulders if I can accomplish this.

Yesterday was mostly about being rather lazy, though I did get the yard mowed and the backyard watered. Sweeping and vaccuuming was followed by dish washing and some general tidying, so I was much happier with the house by yesterday evening. Also gave [livejournal.com profile] aelfsciene some tips on crocheting and she started to work on a little min-afghan for Kage. Watched the Shark's game (we won, woo!), then we made the mistake of watching one of the Fat Chance Bellydance tapes [livejournal.com profile] princessmei left for us. This led to the conclusion that we were going to have to choreograph something for the next big bellydance party at Menara.

Yes, as a matter of fact we have lost our minds.

On the other hand I think we can both safely say we're committed to dancing in a serious way. I think the whole thing has gone from "interest" to "passion", and overall that makes me very happy. I've needed some kind of passion in my life for a long time now, and having a chance to express myself, release a lot of those pent up emotions and share my own creativity with others, is a good thing.

It got me to wondering, though, what would my friends say was their great "passion"? Would it be a person in their life, their career, their hobbies, some creative outlet? If you, gentle reader, were asked what your passion was, what would you reply?

Oh well...
