Monster Rancher Therapy
May. 30th, 2002 08:51 amYou know I'm beginning to think that there's something about Monster Rancher 2 that is both addictive and soothing. It's like a game meditation, focus on raising your monster and having him fight in battles, earn money and fame and go on quests for cool goodies. I played for about an hour last night with my pet phoenix named Balrog. I expected a lot more from the critter than I'm getting, but he is just first generation, I'll breed him up a couple of times and see if his kids fare better.
Between the game, a little Robin of Sherwood, and a nice cool shower I had just the kind of evening I needed. A nice bit of solitude to heal frayed nerves and a decent night's sleep.
Well, mostly decent, for some reason my body clock has decided I should wake up every day at 4 a.m. I'm not sure why this has been decided, I guess I missed a meeting or something, but it insists that 4 in the morning is a really great time to be conscious. I would disagree but I seem to have been outvoted. *grumble*
Crunches: 70 (despite the heat, go me!)
Weird sleeping patterns: 1
