A marvel of modern engineering
Apr. 12th, 2002 08:29 amThat's how jakejr described me yesterday and I threatened to use it as a subject line so there you are. I quite like it, makes me almost feel like a cyborg or something. Ah I'm such a geek.
For all those slightly concerned with my anti-romance rant yesterday, thank you for listening, I seem to be over the mood now. It's funny how a good old fashioned venting can just clear all those nasty emotions out of your system. Or at least that's how it works for me, I'm rather like a volcano, I either vent a bit every few weeks or so, or I explode and cover entire civilizations in hot, fiery ash and rocks. I prefer the former.
And nothing is finer after such a vent than to spend time with the adorable lucianus and the delightful cyranocyrano. Watching "Rumble in the Bronx" reminded me how much I enjoyed the film, and doing so with two other Jackie fans was very fun indeed. We appreciated one another's MST3K comments ("I just kicked your ass with an orangey beverage and my jacket, it's probably time for you to run away now."), and could totally geek out making pseudo-erudite comments regarding Jackie's ouevre of films. I even found a parallel between Jackie and Fred Astaire, then cyrano started rubbing my neck and shoulders and it all gets a bit fuzzy after that. I'm a total softy for a good neck rub, particularly since that part of my body is where I carry about 99% of my tension.
I got home at a reasonable hour and finished the relaxation with a nice long soak in a lavendar scented tub. Did I sleep well last night? You bet I did! Still looking forward to a semi-late night tonight and a good long lay-a-bed tomorrow morning. Getting up at ten sounds like sheer heaven to me.
In other news I'm contemplating seeing Resident Evil, depending upon tersa's review of the flick, and then LOTR just one more time. It'll make an even ten, and then I think I can wait for the DVD release. Just one more Hobbit fix and then I'm clean, man, I swear!
Crunches: 65
Need to hear Frodo whimper, "Oh, Sam!" just one more time: High
