Gloomy Tuesday
Apr. 9th, 2002 09:00 amOk, I know a bunch of folks chirped up to say that they
actually liked this cloudy, cool weather. I respect your
opinions, really I do, but dark skies at a time when I have
to get up an hour earlier in the morning is just not a
good thing! Enough already, let's see some sunshine!
Class was absolutely splendid last night, I just thoroughly
enjoy learning to dance with Una. She's tough, demanding,
strict, and every single thing she's taught us has made us
better dancers. My isolations are about 150% better than they
were back when I started dancing last fall. My strength is
improving greatly between the dance classes and the exercising
I'm now doing religiously at night. I made it through her arm
work last night without breaking a sweat and am pleased to say
I'm not the slightest bit stiff today. Tonight it's Shira's
class which is a good balance. Una is concentrating on just a
few moves per class, making sure we get each one before going on
to the next. Shira's just dived right into a routine. So I
get the basics on Mondays and to actually dance on Tuesdays. Who
could ask for anything more?
Of course the post-class high was a bit dampened after going
over to tersa's place for the Sharks/Wild game. Marleau continues
to impress, perhaps I'll start writing odes to him. But even that
wasn't enough to help them last night, and sadly we started our
roadtrip with a loss. Sad.
But on the plus side I got some quality kitty time with Toast
which is always nice. He seems to sense when I'm getting ready
to leave, though, and invariably decides that's precisely when he
needs a little lap time. And he's so cute it's torture to
dislodge him. Sigh I need to move someplace where I can
have a cat, I really do.
