I just wrote a huge, in depth summary of my response to the ROTK special edition soundtrack, hit 'Update' and my entire system locked up so hard I couldn't get anything to respond. I watched the little hourglass spin and spin and spin before giving in and resorting to the 3 fingered salute.

If I had access to a hammer right now my desktop would be in pieces. I hate this computer so much there really are flames on the side of my face as I type this.

Summary of lengthy post:
1) favorite song "Use Well the Days", it broke me utterly.
2) went through half a box of tissues just listening to the soundtrack, I may need counseling by the time I see the film.

There is a part of me that is deeply grieved by not getting to see the film with you! Fortunately, I am seeing it with some other geeks, so my deep need to see this movie with people who love the films will be somewhat assuaged.

Have you heard the soundtrack yet? Swear to god Aelf and I were just sitting there in the living room listening to it and crying our eyes out last night. Howard Shore was so robbed of an Oscar, so very robbed.

I have a massive box of tissues, plus bags to throw them away in, and picked up a couple dozen small packets to hand out to people in the line party. I'm just worried about getting them (and water, and food, and whatever else) in to the place.

I think I may buy a very large purse this weekend. If they so much as look at me funny I will say, "This is my purse, not a bag, not a backpack, a purse, got a problem withthat? Come get some."
