Hello Cthulu, children's wear

[livejournal.com profile] mister_sunshine, perhaps I've found your future wife? *G*

Does anyone know where I could find a nice little ball gag for a cat? Nothing fancy, mind. Oh, and little kitty handcuffs would be great too. I know a certain Siamese who, if he wakes me at 5 a.m. again yowling in the hallway for absolutely no goddamn reason, is going to find himself bound and gagged right quick. I expect the damn house to be on fire for that kind of noise, or at least an intruder of some sort. Gah.

Now I know that most folks think that New Yorkers are pretty heartless overall. And sure, if you're talking about folks who live in The City (the east coast one, mind), you're not really wrong. However, I don't think it's particularly mean or heartless to not feel the need to slow down (or stop) and gawk at a traffic accident.

The typical NY reaction to an accident on the shoulder of a road or highway is to glance and note it quickly, mutter a soft, "Glad it's not me", then zoom right on by. If you can't offer assistance, we figure the best thing to do is not to make a bad situation worse by tying up traffic.

That doesn't seem to be the California perspective. Nope, out here it seems folks need to really see and comprehend the totality of the accident. They need to ponder its greater meaning, and of course, look for blood and gore, before they can drive on. Case in point, there's a car on fire on the shoulder of an overpass at 101 and San Antonio this morning. The guy in front of me slams on his brakes to stare dumbfounded at it before realizing a few seconds later that he has to get to work. Personally, I thought it a better idea to get the hell out of the way of oncoming emergency vehicles, but then, I am a heartless New Yorker.

Hi Cthu!

Mark and I bought Hello Cthulu t-shirts a couple of years ago, but they seem to be a different design and maker. Eeeenteresting.

Oh, and nostalgia may be getting the better of you. I've driven in NY plenty of times, and an accident seemed to be cause for a tailgate party. Crack out the Igloo, the Weber and enjoy some beer, hot-dogs and a great show.

I heart NY! :-)

Ahh, but upstate or The City?

There must be something in the air, Pye's been the worst little cat lately. I didn't wake up until 5:20 from his yowling, and though I got up and stumbled to the door, closed it, and put in earplugs, I never really got back to sleep at all. I don't like closing my door entirely, in case Kage wants to come in, but Pye just can't behave himself.
