Last week was interesting and fun and exhausting and I'm rather looking forward to getting back to my usual level of insanity this week. Got lots done over the weekend, including a trip up to Chinatown with Aelf and J- wherein much shopping was done. I swear the guy at the DVD store we frequent loves us. Aelf and J- got lots of free goodies along with their purchases. I was a bit more subdued, but the entire VCD collection of the "Van Helsing" animated series was incredibly tempting. Need to find out what language it's in first, though, as the boxed set didn't say.

Started my serious Xmas shopping and for some reason this year [livejournal.com profile] windrose is just absurdly easy to buy for. Had her birthday gift done ages ago and now her Xmas stuff is done too. Check one name off my list, huzzah!

Came home and ordered pizza then sat around watching one of the new flicks J- picked up called "The Eye". Think Hong Kong version of 6th Sense and you'll be pretty close. Quite entertaining, I'd recommend it. Got lots of crafting done, go me!

Yesterday I was up at 5:30 to get J- to the airport on time, then came home and cleaned for about two and a half hours before going up to the shelter to do the same. So few kitties left up there, but enough to make me a bit sad. Phoebe, my favorite, remains for some unknown reason. She's absolutely adorable and sweet, yet nobody seems to want her, I just don't get it. Gave her some laptime after I got my work done, then zoomed off for lunch with [livejournal.com profile] elo_sf and [livejournal.com profile] phillipalden and Aelf at Garden Fresh. Mmm, vegan goodness. We got all caught up on the latest news in one anothers' lives and E- and I did some serious video game geeking.

Then ran a few errands, arrived home and finished up all the housework and yardwork I'd set a goal to finish. Several loads of laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, mowing the front lawn, etc., etc., all complete now. Plopped down around mid-day and got back to work on crafting, all seems to be progressing nicely and I think if I set aside my time off around Thanksgiving for it I might just have my projects done in time for the holidays. Maybe.

Got through about the first five episodes of SG season 4, and was delighted to finally see Rene Auberjonois in a non-makeup role...even if he was playing a Nazi. Good stuff. But the next few episodes should have significantly more Daniel, which makes me very happy indeed.

Tonight is class and as I haven't danced in over a week it should be interesting.

You never watched Benson?
even if he was playing a Nazi
They finally discovered the gate to Naziworld, eh? They're just like ninjas, you know.

Thankfully not since I was a child, but the fact that the longest role I saw him in recently was Odo, it was really quite nice to see him out of makeup for a change.

Well kinda, I mean they weren't exactly Nazis, just all about eugenics and racial purity so I shortened it to Nazi, which sort of sums up the concept. Although it was a kind of annoying episode in that Daniel was again the only person saying, "Hey, hold up here, maybe we should find out what's going on before we start blowing shit up?" and of course got totally shot down for it.

Having just watched Orlando Bloom in PotC, I understand completely.

Did you and Aelf get to Window of Opportunity yet?

I think it's the next episode actually, which we should get to on Wednesday. I really enjoyed "Upgrades" as it allowed me once more to squeak, "Aie! No, Daniel's too delicate for such things!" *G*

Hee! That one is also delightful for the superhero theme.

And while Daniel may be too delicate for some things, there are others for which I feel sure he might be able to...ah...rise to the occasion. ;-)

Don't do that to me at work! Jesus, now I have to think about baseball the rest of the day just to stay sane. And I wouldn't mind being able to read really fast *G* Wonder what else he could do really fast..er..I mean, dammit, now see what you've done?

I've found that the ability to do one thing with great efficiency often paves the way for other quick ministrations.

MUAHAHAHAHAHA. My work here is done. :-)
