Was I the only one who, when they introduced the archaeologist who apparently knows the Doctor from the future, had a breathless moment where they hoped and prayed she would be revealed to be Romana? Because it's ok if I am the only one, I will certainly cop to the fact that I can come up with some outrageous theories. Still, it would be awfully cool if that's how it worked out.

Also, *whimpers* Donna! What the hell happens to Donna? Presumably something big if he's specifically mentioned her to the mystery chick. I know that I'm the worst black widow ever (hey my all time favorite companion on the show was the only one to date to actually die, that's got to be some kind of record) but seriously, writers/producers, don't hurt Donna. You took my beloved Adric and if you blow her up too I'm not sure I'm going to recover from that.

Got to see "Century Hotel" and I can't help thinking that David's subplot got really short-shrift. Also if anyone knows of any ratings system for David's films that would let me know if we get to see his bare ass in it, I'd love to hear about it. Because he does have a very nice ass. Very nice indeed.

Yes, you see David's bare ass in "Century Hotel". It's a very cute ass, too. And there's some lovely boykissing as well. I know there are screen caps of it floating around hither and yon, though I couldn't tell you where anymore.

Re: the new Who. I about fell out of my chair at the "I'm a time traveler. I point and laugh at archaeologists" line.

Dr River Song is made of WIN. I do hope we see more of her in the future. And I'm with you about the portents of DOOM for Donna. They've been foreshadowing a Tragic Fate for her for a while now, and it is seriously pissing me off. Donna kicks serious ass. If they harm her, I will be very, very vexed.

Totally agreed on Donna, she's not only a great character in and of herself, but the perfect match for Ten. I love that she can be this incredible goof and then turn around and break your heart with her nobility and decency. But my favorite thing about her is her pragmatism, she can see the simple and straightforward solution to even the most complex problems. Her down to earth common sense quite often saves the day and god how I love that.

But yeah I've been worried about her since that chicky in Pompeii mentioned something about her back. My immediate reaction was, "Oh no!"

Worse? Russel T. Davies wrote the finale. I've seen a few spoilers about it and, well, I'm worried both for Donna's life, and for epic suckitude.

He's starting to make a habit of really sucky season finales. I mean he managed to screw up the Master when John Simms was playing him. I didn't even think that was humanly possible. But, uh, if you could point me at those spoilers I'd love a head's up...

BTW, have you see any of the spoilers for SGA? I'm doing the freakin' potty dance in my seat waiting for the season to start up again.

This is Davies last season with the show, so at least he won't be killing off anyone else after the finale is through.

BTW, have you see any of the spoilers for SGA?

Check your email. ;)

no, Dr. River Song (aka Dr. Elizabeth Corday) is not Romana. But someone even BETTER!!! (and no, not the Rani either)

The Season Ender is going to be a ROLLER COASTER on the EDGE of your SEAT thrill ride.

No promises who lives or die (except for 10 because he's already committed to the next set of specials) but the cast list is quite ... extensive!

Hint: Donna Noble is NOT safe!

Oh jeez, if we lose Donna I'm going to be so pissed. So very, very pissed. And better than Romana, huh? Mmm-kay... Where in the heck are you getting your spoilers? And why am I not reading them there already?

Oh sonuva...Damn it to hell I'm just not going to let myself get attached to any other companions, that's all there is to it.

Strictly speaking they did kill off Sara Kingdom back in the day, but whether she meets all the criteria of "companion" seems to be a bit of a mishmash.

I feel a hell of a lot better about the future of this series knowing Moffet is going to be showrunner. RTD seems to be in a rut. A Rose-colored rut at that.

I like Rose well enough, and can chalk Martha up to an aberration, but if RTD does away with Donna before he leaves I'm going to be pissed. I agree with you on Moffet, I always find myself thinking, "Oh this'll be a good one" when I see his name show up on the screen.

Do be warned... it is very much an 80s movie. But it's cute and sweet.

I propose new terminology: "It started out really good, but then it got Daviesed at the end."

OTOH... While the ending of 'Turn Left' left a bad taste in my mouth, the preview for the next episode(s) was exciting. I hope the finale lives up to good expectations.

I would concur, it's certainly appropriate.
