Norbizness has a great rant up about car commercials and the annoying/inappropriate songs chosen for them. But then goes on to recommend a few to the executives for future use and I just have to share them:
Hummer H3: "The Asshole Song" by Denis Leary
Ford Expedbehemoth: "You're Crazy For Taking The Bus" by Jonathan Richman
BMW Roadster: "Always Crashing the Same Car" by David Bowie
Toyota Corolla (my car of choice): "Chickenshit Conformist" by Dead Kennedys
Insanely Ugly Box Thing from Honda: "Get Off the Road" by The Cramps

None of the car commercials offend me as much as "Turning Japanese" used for Dr. Pepper ads... now I can't drink my soda of choice without thinking about some guy masturbating to a picture of his Asian wanna-be girlfriend. And that's just wrong!

Gary Numan. Hand to God. I can't recall which car, but it was another of those 'Are they that dim or is there somebody in there with a bitter and cynical sense of irony?' Like hearing a mobile ad use 'Talk Talk'.

Why that song has never actually been used by any of the Hybrid companies is beyond me. Show your little fueld efficient car while that thing plays and you drive past the huge behemoth SUV's on a highway. 'Nuff said, right there.
