Just a couple of things today, first the reaction to Scale of Dragon, Tooth of Wolf has been, in a word, overwhelming. One of my latest batch of comments included a reader saying she would rec the story as the one must-read in HP fandom. Wow...just...wow. It's a good thing I don't wear a lot of hats 'cause I'm quite sure my noggin' would be so swollen right now it'd never fit into any of them.

I've never considered myself a writer, still don't really, mostly because I just don't have the passion for it that I've had for other creative endeavors. And I'm incredibly lazy. When it comes to sitting down and actually putting all the stuff in my brain onto paper I balk. My self discipline just dribbles out my ears and I find myself doing ridiculous mental gymnastics in order to avoid just sitting down and getting the writing done.

But I can't seem to stop the ideas and I'm already plotting out a sequel to SoD, ToW that might be even bigger, grander, and way longer than the first. I'm just not sure I've got the stamina to pull it off. We shall see.

On a lighter note...

Ianto is straight?

Seriously?

...for sure?

O...k.

And can I just say the Jack/Ianto snogging was HAWT? Even the Owen/Gwenn snogging was better than lukewarm. But oh my do I need the J/I one as an icon. Yum! I loved how after Jack pulls away Ianto's got this glazed look on his face like he's just moved several notches on the Kinsey scale.

It was a pretty good ep all around, though the cyber-babe outfit was a bit over the top. I always like the stories that flesh out secondary characters and start to give you an idea of what's going on inside their heads. I also liked the doling out of more info on Jack, the question about whether he'd ever been in love was particularly telling. As was the notion that he'd been kind of hoping the cyberwoman would kill him for sure this time. I do hope we get some more info on his "condition"...

Anyway, big thumb's up for episode 4!

Question the first: anything I can do to make the writing process easier for you?

Question the second: Where are you getting these episodes?

Question the third: You're absolutely certain I can't watch Torchwood until I've seen the end of DW season 2? Really? :(

Question 1: Just keep encouraging and maybe man the water stations as I jog by ;)

Question 2: The internets! Well, [livejournal.com profile] elo_sf makes use of the millions of tubes on the internets in some magical way to acquire them.

Question 3: You really won't understand a lot of references in the series if you don't finish out this season's Dr. Who. Of course if you want to borrow the remain DW eps to get caught up faster you're welcome to.

1: Vita-water it is, then. :)

2: Ah! I didn't realize you'd seen him recently.

3: I thought you'd never offer. ;)

My one question was a little more mundane:

Why didn't pizza girl have any cole slaw with her?

Ah, well clearly she'd forgotten it at the shop in her haste to deliver pizzas to their very best customers. But who in god's name eats cole slaw with pizza? Ick. :)

If Captain Jack told you to eat more vegetables, wouldn't you?

Not if they were in the form of cole slaw. Though I might be inclined to overcome my horror of it if, say, I got to lick it off his naked body ;)

You know, maybe that's just how they serve cole slaw in the hub. ;-) "Okay, boss. Cole slaw is here. Strip."

I love(d) that they fleshed out Ianto a lot more and the dialogue between Jack and Ianto around the end of the ep was terrific.

The kiss was HAWT too.

I think I screen captured it and posted it behind a cut.

It is hard to get a good icon from it though actually...

You know the icon would probably have to be animated to get the full effect anyway... :)

That was my conclusion, I've seen an animated icon of it out there.

Of course that might be a bit distracting on a post... See you in the morning, hon!

Well I found it and posted it for you.

I feel both are important.
