Ok so the greatest story ever told (no, not that silly Biblical movie, Snakes on a Plane!) has spawned it's own role playing game. I know I bitch about seeing films in the theater and all the attendant annoyances involved with it, but oh god I'm seeing this one if it's ever released. I'm sorry, but this would be all about the experience, the audience experience, man.

Many thanks to Aelf, who is as vastly amused by the internet phenomenon this film has become, as I am. Hey, at least it's not another goddamn remake horror film, and dude, Samuel L. Jackson!

Oh and my RPG character concept is "Gutsyy herpetologist who's been trying to warn the airline industry about the danger of snake infestation for years, but nobody would listen!". And I would want her to go out in a very similar manner as Sam's character in Deep Blue Sea....

Who is this person? How can we properly credit them?

If only we could wrangle up an SM to run it. I just have my character's end so clear in my mind, she's worked out an ingenius plan to lower the ambient air temp in the plane so the snakes will all fall into torpor and she's giving a rah-rah speech, all fired up and enthusiastic "We're all going to make it, we just have to stick together!" Then an overhead storage compartment pops open and she's covered in dozens of pissed off CGI snakes.

There's a movie you're seeing without me. Gah. No way I'm paying for that swill. However, did you catch my post earlier with the link to the Sam/Frodo slash promotion on TBS?

You may want to watch nothing but TBS for the next couple of weeks as a result. :)

ON the one hand, it's A WHOLE LOT OF SNAKES.

On the other hand, it's Samuel L. Jackson as the apotheosis of Snake Justice.

My mind is flopping back and forth enough to string it in wire and magnets and generate power.

Have you seen the trailer? It'll stop your flip-flopping, for certain. Worst CGI since Sorcerer's Stone.

I just have to hear him do the "motherfuckin' snakes" line. I. HAVE. TO. I swear this flick has more potential for audience participation than Rocky Horror.

Dude, you're missing the point, I mean it's snakes...on a plane. This isn't just going to be a bad movie, this is going to possibly be the worst film ever made. This is quite possibly beyond even the ability of MST3K to parody, I mean it is just that bad. The very idea that anyone could get this thing funded is a goddamn miracle, it's just bizarre, absurd, unbelieveable. How could this film possibly exist? It just makes no sense, and there's a weird beauty in that.

Yes, but by going to see it in the theatre, you're only encouraging more horrible movies to be made in the future. I'm afraid I just can't condone condemning our children and our children's children to Snakes on a Plane 4: This Time It's Personal.
