For all the Doctor Who fans out there (and you know who you are), I stumbled upon an absolutely delightful fic by

ratmist, Double-Decker Red, Ch 1:

"Oi. She's lovely, my ship, and I won't have you putting her in curlers. She's got...," he struggled for a moment, thinking of the right adjective, "Character!", he finished with a cheeky grin. On cue, the long-damaged, long-abandoned camouflage circuit immediately to his left shot sparks in his direction, and he flinched involuntarily.

It's short but so very good, and after yesterday's tragedy in London, it's kind of nice to read something so happy and fun.

Class was good last night, though I've forgotten more of Tammerhenna than I care to think about :( Did remember Hinko, though, so I suppose all is not lost. And we will be dancing to two pieces from the BSG soundtrack and two from Kama Sutra at DDF. Our set will officially be the biggest, flamingly geekiest set anyone has ever seen and I am over the moon about it! Hee, now I must work my BSG patch into my dance costume, I think smack dab in the middle of the belt should do nicely. We've also got a relative of one of our troupe who's offered to help out with the costumes. Mind you, she normally makes costumes for operas. Kick. Ass.

Must start playing with my sword soon, but first I have to write some comedy fic tonight. Have I mentioned that comedy is hard? No? Well here's my official announcement. And screwball comedy, she is a bitch, lemme tell ya.
