Ooooohhh I was so bad this morning, but dude, can you blame me?

http://i13.ebayimg.com/03/i/02/4c/ee/01_3.JPG

I had to have this costume. Had to have it. It'll go with my troupe bra and belt even! I blame Aelf for showing me this seller's inventory. Indeed it would appear that I have no willpower whatsoever.

Or perhaps "I'm a bad lifeguard" would be appropriate as well. I just love the fact that you've got a real life, can theoretically do more than a doggy paddle lifeguard in your pool of survivors and he's so incompetant that he has to be rescued. And man if I were Jack I'd be running off into the jungle too. "Jack, save the drowning victim!" "Jack, our water's low what do we do?" "Jack, should I take a piss over here in these bushes or in those?". Jesus, lay off the poor guy and learn to think for yourselves a little. I mean surely between Alpha Jack and Worst Lifeguard Ever there was somebody else who could, you know, swim.

Except Charlie, which prompted me to growl, "Oh I'll teach you to swim, baby." Damn he looks hotter and hotter the more scruffy he gets. Yum!

Loved "He's got like 400 knives!" Locke in this one, going all native and Merlin-y. He's so going to be the shaman of this group. I keep waiting for him to start painting his body with natural pigments. It's coming guys, it's totally coming.

The scene with Charlie and Inappropriate Dressed Pregnant Girl (IDPG henceforth) was darling. And way to show off that fake, but still adorable tattoo, Dom. Somewhere my mom, if she was watching it, lost her shit. First one to name the tune it comes from wins the gold star (in case you missed it, it read "Living is easy with eyes closed"). Her line about being a responsibility that no one wants under the circumstances was quite true, and his understated response was perfect. It was a subtle, "Oh honey you don't know the meaning of the word 'burden', just wait until my smack runs out."

Jackhole remains a jackhole in this one but at least he's an enterprising one. He's practically got the makings of the island's first convenience store already. If he finds an Icee machine in the wreckage he's all set. Of course it would probably have to be powered by monkeys or something, but I'm sure he'll work it out.

So now we know more about Jack, but still don't know what the big thing his mom was guilt tripping him about was. Hmm, my guess would be either following in dad's footsteps and drunk driving (perhaps even vehicular homicide) or having the guts to turn his dad in for the dangerous sot he was and losing him his job. Hence, presumably, the not talking for two months and dad running off to Sydney to drink himself to death. I'm still not sure which is creepier, though, the fact that dad's corpse may be walking around the island or those scary Victorian looking baby dolls someone was theoretically shipping from Sydney to LA. *shudder*

And I think I finally put my finger on what it is that makes me dislike Jack, the actor feels the need to pant his lines out most of the time. It's not like he's running constant marathons and a walk up the beach shouldn't leave you that breathless. Deep breaths, guy, deep breaths.

They ran a commercial for Advil with the actress who played Buffy's mom, and whom I've dubbed "The Evil One". I don't think I can use Advil again...

Um, scenes for next week, Alpha Kate (who's a Gemini, how cool is that?) gets all snarky with Alpha Jack (though she's right, she offered to tell him what she'd done and the audience all screamed, "Yes, tell us!" but he said no, so don't start pestering her about it now). Locke has some kind of goods on Charlie who's looking a bit strung out. And yeah, Korean guy goes bugfuck on Mercutio, who didn't see that coming?

In dance news our performance Saturday night may be cancelled due to rain as we're apparently performing outside. If we do get to perform it's going to be really fucking cold. *sigh*

I was more bad cos I bought The Authority: Official RPG by Guardians of Order. It was not cheap. And I suspect I will never play it.

Charlie's (Dom's) tattoo is from "Strawberry Fields" by the Beatles, of course.

Ah, but did it cost $140? :)

BTW, saw this from a commentor over at Matthew Yglesias' blog and I have to say it rings pretty true:

Personally, the character who reminds me most of Bush at this point is a fictional one: Cornelius Fudge, the inept Minister of Magic in the Harry Potter books who homes in obsessively on the wrong enemy and then pulls one political dirty trick after another to force all the other good wizards to go along with him...

In fact, I thought Fudge might have been inspired by the administration!

Sweet outfit, girl.

You'll have to post pics of you in it once you've tried it on your sexy self. /B-,

I'll see what I can do, I'm hoping to get it in time to wear it in the Day of the Dead parade on Samhain :)

And the seller had many more just as gorgeous, Aelf's considering one for herself. But this has that little under the boob vest piece that I have desired for a long time...and it's purple...and pretty...and, well, now it's mine :)

Ooooh, niiiiiiiice! The embroidery! Wow. :-)

I've just friended you, btw; I've been meaning to for a long time, rather than just reading your journal through [livejournal.com profile] odogoddess's flist, but apparently I am a flake. ;-)

Hey, lose a friend this week and gain one, there's a lovely symmetry to that :)
