Oct. 19th, 2004 08:30 amBy the time I got home last night I was a seething, frustrated, growling mess all thanks to our local population of mentally defective drivers and a woman at Target who not only required her dozen or so cheapass Halloween porcelain statues be individually wrapped, but also divided her purchase into two seperate purchases and managed to fuck up using her credit card twice in the span of about 10 minutes. I considered beating her to death with my 12 pack of caffeine free Diet Coke. It was the fact that I could picture that gruesome experience so vividly that kept her alive and got me through the ridiculously long wait behind her.
Made it home in time to catch the end of Farscape which was ok, but had several moments I would've had a hard time swallowing if I were reading it in a fanfic. And the very end nearly put me in a sugar coma. At least I got to stare at Chianna for a while and fantasize about throwing her over my shoulder and making off with her.
Got the reservations made for Vegas, we'll be staying at Circus Circus on the strip, which was far and away the best bargain if you want to do one of the theme hotels on the strip on a weekend. A room half the size of my current apartment, two queen sized beds and a mini fridge, and all within easy walking distance of the Hilton. Sweet.
Was in bed nice and early and dropped off to sleep only to be awakened by my damn smoke detector going off at midnight. I just changed the batteries on both of them yesterday so WTF? Of course there was no fire, no smoke, no anything to set it off. I yanked the battery and went back to bed but I'd love to know what's triggering them. I mean the only thing I had on in the whole place was the bathroom fan, the windows were all open, and I was in bed asleep. These things just keep going off for no apparent reason whatsoever. I need to talk to the manager.
Dragging myself out of bed was harder than usual this morning as it was pitch black outside when I did so. I kept checking the clock, surely it couldn't be 7 already, it was much too dark. Welcome to winter.
Discovered the hard way that someone had de-friended me this morning when I attempted to post a comment on their journal. Suck. Ah well, I do tend to babble on about nothing so I undoubtedly clog up a friends page. Particularly if you're not interested in the babble.
