Hey, fair is fair. But by far my favorite quote in this piece is:
"It may seem odd," Benton County Commissioner Linda Modrell told Reuters in a telephone interview, but "we need to treat everyone in our county equally."
Wow, what a novel concept...equality. I tip my hat to our neighbors to the north, this is downright ingenious.

Gondor Accepted into United Nations
Some member states objected to the admission of Gondor on the grounds that it is not a real country. Annan brushed aside these concerns.
"Come on now," he replied. "Neither is Luxembourg, but we let them in. Besides, after seeing the magnificent infrastructure in the capital, Minas Tirith, I have no doubt that Gondor's dues, which will be based on its total GNP, will comprise a welcome addition to the U.N. budget."
And hey, a new fave icon:
Had a lovely evening withjimweasel over tea (mmm, Forget-me-Not) and very pleasant conversation. Though Lucy's was quite crowded for a Tuesday night. We parted ways around 8 and I zoomed home to make sure neither of the cats had eaten the other (they hadn't). Then took out the trash and puttered around the house for a bit doing a little tidying. I need to do more like actual cleaning tonight, but the yard gets taken care of first.
Got the line up from Alyne regarding dancing Friday night and it's rather daunting. I'm signed up for two choreographies I only kinda know. This should be exciting. Also apparently reservations are necessary so if anyone was planning to drop in (and I think that's just you,cyranocyrano) I'd recommend against going to see this particular performance. If it turns into a regular gig and the place is as nice as I've heard it is, that will be a different matter.
