"Home is behind, the world ahead..."
Dec. 19th, 2003 10:10 amBilleh and his amazing voice are haunting me, even my dreams. Can't remove song from consciousness...argh! *sigh* I should just give in and go see the movie again. If for no other reason than wanting to confirm my belief that "Use Well the Days" is the tune playing in the background during "The End of All Things". Two viewings down, 8 more to go if I want to equal FOTR, and oddly enough I do.
This will be my last post for a while as my family arrives on Sunday and I fully expect to be completely overwhelmed by their visit. But in a good way. Lots of touristy stuff planned, and some family downtime which will be very nice.
At this point my only concern is that the cats will be utterly wretched during the family's visit. Particularly Pye, he's barely socialized as it is and lots of bodies in the house may well cause him to lurk under couches and beds the whole time. And Kage seems to be tolerating less and less of his nonsense lately. It's gotten to the point that he creeps into the back living room like he's the weakest member of the party during a dungeon crawl. "I'm checking the floor, and the walls, and the ceiling!" I couldn't help doing the "sneakin'" bit from ROTK to him last night. It just fit his whole demeanor so well.
Anyway, it'll all work out, though I can't vouch for how much sleep we'll get. At least I have the next week after that off as well so I can get my rest then. Not to mention lots of chores, baking, and crafting done. And I may need to see ROTK once or twice as well.
I'll be seeing some folks on Saturday, but for those I don't, have a great holiday and I look forward to talking to you all again soon.
