Get this cinnamon monkey off my back
Nov. 10th, 2003 08:38 amI have discovered that the cinnamon bread sold at the Sunnyvale farmer's market contains crack. It is dangerous and highly addictive. For the love of god don't buy a loaf or you're doomed, doomed! Had two slices with a little margarine on them for breakfast, the loaf is about half gone since Saturday morning....*sigh*
Still, got a lot done this weekend and I feel very accomplished. Most of my Xmas shopping is done. One more Amazon order should take care of it and then just a bit more wrapping and the two big craft projects to finish. I feel very proud of this, and delighted that December will be much lower in pressure and stress than usual. I'll still stress about getting the house clean for my family's visit, but that's it.
Friday night I got most of the stuff on hand wrapped while Aelf and I plowed through the "I, Claudius" series. Also got some crafting done and met my goals for the weekend which felt good. Ran all necessary errands, did enough housecleaning to make me feel like it wasn't totally out of control, and finished up the basic choreography I've been working on. I'm content with it, though I think Alyne will be able to give me some good ideas on how to tighten it up a bit.
Also saw Kill Bill. ( Spoilery mini-review behind the cut... )
After seeing the movie I ended up with a raging headache, and I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it's my eyes or something. Felt like a sinus headache, but I wasn't sneezing much that day, and I hadn't had any similar problems all weekend. I'll try to figure out a time to go and get them checked, and stock up on Alleve before Trilogy Tuesday, I think.
