I..um...yeah!
Jun. 27th, 2003 08:37 amThe above is the kind of gobbledy-gook coming out of my mouth these days in the place of honest to grod English. I'm blaming the heat for my memory lapses and inability to articulate even reasonable simple sentences coherently. I spent most of last night pausing and hoping the word I was trying to say would pop back into my head. I honestly couldn't dredge up the word "index". Jeez I'm way too young for Alzheimer's.
Anyway there was much dancing last night and much drinking of water too, thankfully, though it would be very smart to start bringing some Gatorade along when it's this hot. Too much water in this heat can be almost as bad as too little. My admiration for Alyne continues as she did two hours of class and barely broke a sweat. The rest of us looked like we were ready to drop before class even started. On the plus side she had a bunch of fans on and open windows and door, so that helped a bit. I also got tapped by my fellow students to be "on point" for the "Princess of Cairo" choreography. Clearly they seem to be under the delusion that I know what I'm doing. I managed to make it through without any serious screw ups so I'm feeling pretty good about that one. "Choukraine", however, continues to defeat me. We also danced our veil pieces and one of the gals, Angel, expressed an interest in learning "Honey and Wine". The prospect of teaching it to someone else has me practically giddy. I feel so...professional *G*

And I know I should feel bad that someone died, but when that someone is Strom Thurmond I practically want to throw a party!
Oh, for those interested, we'll be performing tonight at Straw Hat Pizza, doing several group choreographies and our veil pieces:
