Ok so I'm excited about Episode II, I admit that. Yeah GL asked us all politely to bend over and take it with Episode I, and like the livestock many of us often are, we did. But I can forgive him. I can find it in my heart to say we both made mistakes and that one bad film doesn't cancel out three amazing, life changing ones. And I can even find it within me to hope that if I'm not blown away by the film that I will at least be entertained. And there will be Jedi, I'll watch pretty much anything with Jedi in it.

Watching the SciFi channel's StarWars Fan Film Festival hosted by Kevin Smith last night helped put me in just the right mood. I hadn't seen "Troops" in ages, and some of the incredibly clever concepts like the Stormtrooper version of the new Army ads, and the anti-Senator Palpatine mud-slinging politicial commercial was a hoot too.

I'm pumped, I'm ready, I'm excited.

Speaking of which Saturday was an amazingly exciting and just all around wonderful day. If you've never watched a Sharks game at the Tied House, you're really missing out. I ended up winning a 2002 Stanley Cup Avs vs. Sharks puck in the random drawing. Alas I didn't even get close in Sharks bingo, and the trivia contest would've kicked my ass. Still, tersa managed to get all the answers correct, too bad she wasn't in the contest. We'll remember to sign her up for the next one. Watching the game surrounded by rabid fans and Sharkie was a lot of fun, particularly when we won so solidly. Go Sharks!

Then we were off to FOTR, and I finally got my tenth viewing in. I feel satisfied now, like I can wait until the director's cut comes out to see it again. And tersa's right, those seats were absolutely wretched. Still, it was a bargain theater so you can't really expect much.

Sunday was absolutely wonderful, which is pretty much always the best wya to sum up getting to spend time with mallen. The Brahms was divine, and have I mentioned recently how much I adore the violin? I was absolutely blissful by the end. We then ventured forth for Italian up in Ocean Beach and came to the conclusion simultaneously that attempting a nice dinner on Mother's Day was not the best move we've ever made. I have promised to remind him in the future about these inconvenient holidays so appropriate plans can be made *G*

I don't think I was very good company this weekend, though I did make a very real effort to be. I think a lot of nonsense last week made me long for some time to sit in a dark, quiet room and just not speak to anybody. At least I tend to have enough sense to not give in to those impulses when they strike, but it does make me less than entertaining to be around, and I must apologize particularly to mallen, I promise to be better company next time, really.
