Ok, so which is more pathetic:

1) The fact that I saw a 30 second trailer for Underworld 2 and immediately squealed like a little girl, "Hey, that's Tony Curran!"

or

2) The fact that Derek Jacobi was somehow convinced to appear in that film?

Underworld 2 can't be that bad ... when compared to Blood Rayne.

Dear lord, are those all video game movies?
And it's not as if the genre has exceedingly high standards--even comic books turned into movies are generally granted higher accord.

Thankfully, none of those have been video games that I've played or actually like. Otherwise I'd feel worse about Herr Boll fucking them doggystyle with a necrotic hippo phallus.

Of course, can't be that bad is subjective.

It's akin to saying Attack of the Clones wasn't as bad as Phantom Menace ...

Or a urinary tract infection not being as bad as enflamed rectal ulcers.

Agreed, I just saw the standee for Blood Rayne and burst out laughing. That's a straight to the SciFi Channel flick if ever I saw one.

Given that I moderately enjoyed Underworld, I think the fact that Derek Jacobi is appearing in it is far, far more pathetic.

OTOH: more Derek Jacobi plz.

The sad thing is that the combination of Derek and Tony actually has me mildly tempted to watch this film. That's so very, very wrong.
