A sheetcake made of victory and talking owls
If you haven't caught Patton Oswalt's stand up special "My Weakness is Strong" you really should. I was laughing hysterically throughout. I have it recorded for the locals who'd like to give it a look.
One of my favorite bits, aside from "Uncle Touchy's Naked Puzzle Basement" had to be his response to the people who constantly assured him he'd miss the fact that George Bush was no longer in office because he wouldn't be able to make fun of him any more:
That's like saying that for the last 8 years there were demons just flying around in the sky randomly swooping down to sodomize people. And I wrote 10 killer minutes about the sodomy demons. And then the Pope banished them to another dimension. They would go, "Boy, Patton, you're really gonna' miss those sodomy demons."
I'm like, "I'll try to adjust."
Gosh it's nice to have a night to myself. I got the kitchen stuff that needed doing out of the way and now I have a chance to get caught up on LJ while I watch The Scarlet Pimpernel. Not a bad way to spend an evening.
