More politics, just skip it if you're not interested

I was reading ANYBODY USING THIS FIRST AMENDMENT? A CONVERSATION WITH GREG PALAST, and he posed an interesting question. What the heck ever happened to Gen. Schwarzkopf, hero of Gulf War I? Why hasn't old Stormin' Norman been trotted out to "meet the press" recently? Thought I'd take a look around and see if I could figure out why. It was pretty easy to do so actually: Desert Caution
Once 'Stormin' Norman,' Gen. Schwarzkopf Is Skeptical About U.S. Action in Iraq
.

Guess that explains that.

This appeared in the WaPo on the 28th.

It would appear that Schwarzkopf had changed his mind (http://wsls.com/frontpage/MGBWMB7PUBD.html) by February 6th.

He had more to say (http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030210-22388892.htm) to the Washington Times by the 10th.

Ultimately, though, it doesn't really matter either way, does it? Invoking Schwarzkopf is interesting, but as a debating point it's an appeal to authority.
