I always thought comedy was supposed to be funny? I'm not uptight. I'm an easy guy to make laugh. A picture of a cross-eyed kitty with a hat on will make me laugh. I swear! Make a fart sound when Grandma sits down and I will laugh.

Oh. They must mean comedy in the "classic" sense. You know. Like in ancient Greece. Where at the end of the play not everybody dies. Only in this case you wish they would.

While I couldn't sit through that entire clip, by the time I'd reached my stupidity limit for the day I was wishing it was a Shakespeare tragedy because at least those obnoxious women would have killed each other and/or themselves at the end of the show.

And while I didn't have the patience to listen to the entire stream of drivel I assume they are all still alive. The chances of my desire being the actual outcome were so slim it wasn't worth the risk.

I would file this under "sour grapes" and fully expect more of this stuff to pop up in the near future.

I have to admit I get a meanspirited thrill every time a conservative vehemently insists, "We're funny, dammit!" As if comedy could be invaded and occupied like a country. It's one of the few areas left that the neo-cons can't get their filthy hands on, thank the gods.
