So I splurged yesterday before the whole "Gah! Must move!" thing, and bought myself the new mattress I've been meaning to since..oh, forever. Nice big cushy Sealy to replace my thin, squeaky, springs sticking into my back one. After it was delivered Kage hopped right up and proclaimed it good. She then proclaimed it hers and took a nap on it. I think she's pretty convinced I bought it just for her.

Got some seriously good sleep last night thanks to that and I woke up a lot less sore and achy as well. Yay!

And I'm glad you mentioned the "Gah! Must move!" thing because I missed that at the end of your movie review post, because I didn't finish reading it because I didn't want to read about the movies. :} No suggestions on a place to move, though. As much as I like my complex, I'm sure it's way out of your price range without a roommate.

I know I've been seeing a *lot* of 'for rent' signs around town, though. I'll try to start making notes of where I see them.

my recent research tells me that's not a fantasy, but I'm not sure what your criteria is.... I know you want something bigger than what you've got, and that you don't like dishwashers. :)

700+ square feet is a must, and of course cat-friendly. I'd prefer first floor, a quiet building, and on-site laundry but aside from that I'm pretty much open.

Okay, eyes are officially ppeeled. I've been spotting a lot of For Rent signs around town too, although you're right, that's not currently reflected on Craigslist.

I found my place in CA through rentals.com. I'm not sure what they've got going on these days but it was a pretty nice place.

New mattresses are amongst the best things in the world. The difference in quality of sleep is just incredible. I LOVE the new bed we have.

This one was pricey, but I think it's improved my quality of life to the point that it's definitely worth it. Once I get this paid off, and if I can stay on track budget-wise over the next few months I may splurge and get a new futon as well :)
