(no subject)

Quick update, I discovered yesterday that despite the fact that I love F,J & L's alfredo pomodoro tortellini, it no longer loves me. My stomach said "I don't think so" and basically flattened me for a good portion of the day and all of the evening. I'm still debating whether or not it was worth the pain, my god it was good, though. Still, lesson learned, no more heavy tomato-y stuff for a really long time.

Of course it may have been my subconscious' way of making sure I didn't eat too much before La Fondue tonight, and as I'm still sore today, it'll keep me from gorging myself there as well. It's my silver lining, I suppose.

So... I thought alfredo was the creamy white sauce.
(Have fun!)

The alfredo part is, the pomodoro is the tomato-y bit.

Aaah! So.. like a pink sauce?
Sounds interesting. (I thought 'pomodoro' was a pasta type.)

Poor thing! You know, it makes sense. As I've gotten older, I have trouble digesting anything that has acidic combined with dairy. My once breakfast favourite of orange juice with some cottage cheeze, for example, is now a sure-fire way of making me ill. A tomato dish with two much cheeze (or a cheezy dish with too much tomato) also gives me trouble. When I order pizza now I have to tell them very light on the sauce. I don't know how or why, but the twain just cannot meet in my belly.
