Oh, good, it's my delivery from 1-800-PITY.

If you throw yourself a pity party and nobody comes it's probably time to bitch slap yourself back to reality.

I think I hit rock bottom last night for almost no reason whatsoever that I can think of. I suppose I could've called someone up and said "Help me." but it's just not in my nature to do it, so I went home, had a nice long cry and flopped onto the couch. Then two very nice things happened, one AMC was doing a Bruce Lee special and showed the entire fight sequence from "The Game of Death" (the picture Lee never finished), and I got to see some superb fighting. I also got to hear Lee deliver the line, "Will you allow my companion to move our friend out of the way so that we can groove?" Oh yeah, baby. Then he pummeled Kareem Abdul Jabar, and some karate guy into mincemeat and that was just all kinds of cool.

The other nice thing that happened was that my cat hopped up onto my stomach, curled up purring and using my breast as a pillow. It was the single cutest thing I've seen and just exactly what I needed. Sometimes I wonder if cats aren't just a bit empathic, they just always seem to know when you need them. I don't know what I did without her, I really don't.

Stopped at the grocery store and decided I wasn't going to do the Albertsons' thing any more. They can take their fascist "Preferred Customer" card and stick it up their collective anus. Instead I went to Cosentino's and discovered that it was small, not terribly busy, but full of good food at good prices, and even some specialty stuff I usually have to go to Trader Joe's for. Yay Hansen's Key Lime soda! And no lines. I mean seriously, the woman ringing me up was nervous because there was someone behind me. Two people in line and she was calling for more folks up front. Glory Hallelujah!

Also talked to the former roommate S-, who sends everyone her love, she's doing well and still enjoying Tucson tremendously.

Now, back to figuring out a plan to shake up my life a little and get myself out of this stupid funk I've been in. Perhaps I'll do something wild to my hair, or take up a new hobby, maybe answer a personals ad. I dunno' what I'm going to do today, but I'm determined to do *something*. Something different. Something interesting. Ponder....

Want to dye your hair teal and go to a Sharks game tonight? (Are you already going?) I don't know if LAM ever found someone to take her ticket. I've already given mine away.

Heh, if I didn't already live with a blue-haired gal and didn't have gaming tonight I'd consider it. I'm afraid if I went teal I'd be labeled a copycat at this point, and we can't have that };)

New hobby? I'd suggest Rapier/Dagger class. *grin*

LOL, well it just so happens that I'm going to start having Tuesday nights free next semester, if there's a class that night I may just be in.

oh, _ooh_

I hadn't even thought about that, but I know I'd love to get into something martial, and the sword is pretty appealing. A little prohibitive, costwise, but I'll see. Maybe I should finally check out capoeira, or see what the naginata schedule is like. Hmn.

I shall definitely remember that, the rapier and dagger class is definitely calling to me...

Rapier/dagger is at 7PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Rapier/dagger looks interesting, especially since they drill with steel exclusively. I'd consider it if I consistently got out of work earlier, but the longsword appeals to me more so I'm not complaining (longsword is at 8PM on the same nights).

Could you send me the class info on this in email? I'd like to look into both and see which class appeals more, but rapier dagger does sound awfully cool.

Have you tried the stewart's key lime soda? It's all kinds of yummy. I dunno where they have it up there; prolly cost plus or bevmo.

I have actually and they carry it at Cosentinos' too, but the Hansen's is a much better price and just as yummy.

Oooh, I'll have to try the hansen's then! I don't usually like soda very much, so it's rare that I find one (like the stewarts key lime pie) that I like.
