(no subject)

A quick post before vanishing into the ether this week. I will do my best to answer all emails in a timely fashion when I have evening hours to do so in. Hopefully that will mean some time tonight, some Wednesday, and more Friday, but Tuesday and Thursday are utterly shot. Many apologies.

But I can't bring myself to leave you without something to do in my absence, so I share a story that [livejournal.com profile] rexluscus shared with me. It's Snarry, it does involve sexual content (oh boy does it ever), and is quite possibly one of the funniest, wittiest, most charming fics I've ever read. If you're so inclined, go check out The Fourth Year, and please, even if Snarry isn't your thing, give it a try because you will really be missing out if you don't. [livejournal.com profile] rexluscus thinks she knows who the mystery author is and I totally concur with her guess, but I'd be open to other suggestions from folks who might know the genre a bit better. I'm kind of hoping it's not who I think it is just 'cause I'd love to think the author's got a ton of amazing fic out there I've somehow never encountered.

And now I am off to meeting hell...

You know it's hard to resist your recs, but Snarry just... is it going to squick me? I so can't do adult/child stuff. Ew.

Nope. Both are adults. It's post-war.

Cool! I'll save this for my reward when I finish my script tonight, then.

It's post war and Harry's all grown up, so very low squick factor on that front. The end's a tiny bit too sweet for me, but oh my god the rest.

What you said. I liked it, but it's not a squeeful one for me. Not like "In Neglect" was... then again, I am a serious angst fan. :)

Lord, I read The Fourth Year last night and then I couldn't help but read it again today. One of the best stories in a good long time, and I know I'll be drawn back to it again.

And have fun in the ether ;)

So did the pirate fantasies just slay you or was it just me? :)

And no fun in the ether, just lots of meetings and note taking and jargon and such :(
