First I must pimp a story that is so good others just have to read it. It's Snupin, so if slash ain't your thing, feel free to avoid it, otherwise get yourself over to "A Sound Like the Dashing of Hope" by
snegurochka_lee, it does contain HBP spoilers so if you haven't read it yet...well for fuck's sake just read it already, you've had months, jeez! A final encounter between Snape and Lupin as witnessed by Peter, it offers some incredible insights into all of the characters and their possible motivations for the events that take place in HBP. It's also a damn good read and a story that you just shouldn't miss.
So I took
cyranocyrano out for dinner last night at Fiesta del Mar in which I ate entirely too much and knew I'd regret it today. My scale actually seemed to be making this soft mocking chuckle as I stepped on it this morning. Right, my weight is now so out of control it's not even funny. Next week I'm going to get a physical and maybe see if I can get referred to a nutritionist or something. There's got to be a healthy, sensible way to get this to shift back down to the normal range again (for me at least 5-10 pounds less than I currently am). I'm exercising more than I ever have in my life, spent the past few weeks dancing my ass off (though not literally, sadly) and my weight's going up? WTF? One night of eating too much shouldn't undo an entire month and a half's exercising, at least not if it doesn't include a truly massive dessert (which it didn't).

Nope, it's never done much for me I'm afraid and ultimately I don't want to really bulk up, you know? BTW, still up for class tonight? I can be at your place about 6:45ish if so.

It's like with the ab exercises, even if you can't get rid of your belly you can make it look better by toning the muscles underneath.
I've started doing some simple training at home since I can do it while I'm sitting in front of my light box. As long as the cat lets me, anyway.
Speaking of which, he seems to be having slight problems since the vet visit (very lethargic and amazingly quiet which is disconcerting even if I've occasionally wanted to muzzle him) so I want to stay home tonight and continue keeping an eye on him. I know it's normal after vaccines and stuff but this is the first time he's had quite this reaction. He was a little bit better this morning and was actually social this morning but I worry.
He better be fine by next Tuesday (I'm totally calling the vet soon if he doesn't continue to improve) so let me know if you're going then.

I didn't bulk up much when I was doing weights, though some of my measurements changed they didn't change significantly. And I don't think they look really big now. I didn't do weight for a really long time but 6 months is a pretty good stretch.
I've also heard that after a while of doing the same exercise your body stops reacting to it as well, which could be one reason why the dance workouts aren't having as much of an effect.
